Instructions for entering pattern for value scheme

Description
The 'pattern' option in the type dialog in the component editor can be confusing to users. It does not have instructions for what kind of pattern to enter. It should actually match the specification given at http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-2/#regexs but this should be phrased in simpeler terms. Possibly a link to some extensive documentation would be useful too. We should not link to external websites even though they might provide useful information and can act as a source for us such as this page.
