    - question: do we consider CMD profile an extension of CMD component in the specification (as is the case in our infrastructure implementation)
    - [ ] TODO: detach profile from component throughout the document (profile contains component hierarchy with a single root), also e.g. in 'Components' part (and UML) of CCSL where it says cmdp:{CMDProfile}
    - define 'root component' (currently introduced in section 'Document structure prescribed by the schema' towards the end)
