v10 v11 1 1 = Curation of element/field values. 2 3 [[PageOutline]] 2 4 3 5 This aspect of metadata curation evolves around the problem of high variability of the values in metadata elements with controlled (but not closed) vocabularies, like `organisation names`, `resource type`, `subject` and similar. We encounter a) spelling variants and b) synonyms. This has serious impact on discoverability of the resources, especially when using catalogues with faceted search like the VLO.
