Overview
Taskforces are active and informal groups populated by people (often developers) from CLARIN centres and centre candidates. It is where the "real work" in terms of protocol specification, technical documentation writing and software development takes place. The output of these task forces goes to the Centre Committee that can then give e.g. a protocol specification an official status.
Everyone with an interest in CLARIN is warmly welcomed to take part in one or more taskforces. However, it should be clear that active cooperation is expected.
The following task forces exist:
- Component Metadata (CMDI)
- Metadata Curation
- Federated Content Search (FCS)
- Persistent Identifiers (PID)
- Authentication and Authorisation Infrastructure (AAI)
- VLO Taskforce
Mailing lists
The following lists can be used:
- dev@lists.clarin.eu : for technical discussions and questions, software-development related issues
- all-centers@lists.clarin.eu : for communication with all CLARIN (candidate) centres - e.g. to propose a draft of a protocol
Some taskforces have an own mailing list, see the tf-lists at https://lists.clarin.eu/mailman/listinfo
