Connecting the VLO takes too long

Description
I noticed now twice that just connecting to the VLO (not performing any searches) takes disturbingly long time (almost 1 minute). It does not seem to be a local problem with network connectivity because other websites load as fast as usually. Performing searches after the long wait for the initial page works speedily.

Here's a timestamp:
Do 26. Mär 11:46:53 CET 2015
This time, the first contact to the VLO was fast, but searching the term "Saarlandes" takes minutes; The facets on the right hand navigation are appearing in several portions (first portion language only, then some more, but not all).
Browser: Firefox 36.0.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
The ComponentRegistry answered quickly.

The VLO has been moved to a new host. I'm interested to know whether these connection issues (which I have not been able to reproduce thus far) still occur.

Today, everything goes smoothly. I will report when the problem happens to me again.

We need more details and statistics on this. How often has this happened over the past days, weeks, months? Do you have (more or less) exact times on when this happened so that we can check the logs? Do we have similar reports from others? It can still be caused by (local) network quirks.
Next time you encounter this, please also check http://catalog.clarin.eu/ds/ComponentRegistry and make a note of the time and date, please report here.
Lowering the priority for now until there is further information.
