svn: Can't write activity db

Description
I tried to add an SP via SVN and got "svn: Can't write activity db".
I checked local permissions, reset my credentials (forced re-issuing of username/password), nothing helped. I also already tried a deliberately wrong password which resulted in a "wrong password" error, so the password seems to be right.

Hi Sander,
This is to confirm that updating to svn 1.8 resolved the issue.
Centos6 had 1.6 as official version.
Here's how I updated:
http://tecadmin.net/install-subversion-1-8-on-centos-rhel/
You can even enable gpgcheck after importing this key:

Thanks!
Martin

Hi Martin,
Can you check which version of the Subversion client you have?
Can you try checking out https://svn.clarin.eu/aai/ somewhere else again, with an up-to-date SVN client (so if your current one is up-to-date, then still try it please)?
