Description
Request from Jan Odijk:
I was looking at Virtual Collections.
I actually made one, as an experiment. What I had expected was the following: One can select resources in the VLO (by means of a query allowed in the VLO), and add the result of a query (its extension) to one’s virtual collection.
(I am in this cases only interested in the metadata themselves, not the data that they describe).
I want the extension (not the intension) in my virtual collection because the VLO-query of course does not give me exactly the result I need (problems with precision), so I want to manually filter the ones that are incorrectly selected by the query.
Maybe this is possible, but if so, it is very difficult, too difficult for simple users, also for me. If possible, it should be explained better, and actually I think it should be offered as a default with a simple interface for query mechanisms known with CLARIN, i.e. at least the VLO and the FCS mechanism.
If it is not possible, it should be added.

Dieter will follow-up with Jan to get some details clear before this goes into the VCR development plan

See VLO issue #37 for a follow-up. Perhaps this ticket can be closed.

As mentioned by Twan this works the other way around. You can search in the vlo and include all results in a virtual collection. Filtering should then be done in the VCR itself.
