Description
I want to add Krister Linden (krister.linden@helsinki.fi) to the User Involvement group. I don't find him in the list at https://www.clarin.eu/admin/people, although he claims to have just logged in.
Searching for him, I find https://www.clarin.eu/person/krister-lindén, but I can't edit group affiliation in this node, and it appears different to a user node (e.g. https://www.clarin.eu/user/16).

Comment from Martin :
Thanks for that. When I try to add him that way, I get the error message: "User Krister Lindén is already subscribed to group." He claims not to be able to access the page when logged in, so is he logging in under different credentials?
Since this looks like a conflict between the old (non-LDAP) user accounts migrated from drupal 6 to 7 and the new ones, I have create Krister's old account. When he logs in again, the correct LDAP-based account will be created and then everything should work OK again. It will be necessary to add him to the relevant groups though.

Got confirmation that this worked. I have just deleted all www.clarin.eu accounts that have not accessed the site for 2 years, basically eliminating all pre-LDAP accounts. This should solve the issue.
Hi Martin,
when I enter "kr" at
https://www.clarin.eu/group/node/3967/admin/people/add-user
the 4th option is Krister, so seems to work as expected. I have not added him yet as to see if this works for you as well.
The "person" content type is indeed unrelated to the groups. The groups can only contain registered users (who have an account at user.clarin.eu and have logged in at least once).
