Twitter feed on CLARIN ERIC website not displaying tweets

Description
When I visit https://www.clarin.eu/guest-portal or other pages featuring the twitter widget, no tweets are displayed, despite there being recent tweets (e.g. several yesterday 27/5/16).
This is urgent since the website is being prominently shown at the booth at the LREC conference, now, and all day.

We no longer show Tweets on the front page. Alternative, better working ways to show them in the future are now possible since we got rid of the problematic customatizations today.

I'm very sorry! After thorough investigation I cannot avoid the conclusion that the whole Twitter integration simply cannot be disabled, removed or altered at all. It'll have to wait until the website is cleansed from all customizations made by Jurriaan Roelofs.
