Notes

• due to a power outage Ineke couldn't make it into the vidconf :-(
• the vote on the voting procedure can be closed, as with 9 votes out of 11 the 70% limit has been passed
  • the suggestions by Dan will be incorporated in 15.1
  • the vote will be documented in the trac
• the results of both the generic and specific teams were presented
  • team generic
    • worked on validation of semantic specifications based on the XPaths used by the VLO importer, these contexts don't work very well as many of the generic concepts are not explicit in the metadata profiles
    • a next experiment will be based on white and blacklisting certain contexts
  • team specific
    • worked on definitions of concepts based on the facet tooltips
    • an extra column was added to contain the concept preferred label, as the facet name is too broad
  • it was concluded that the results of both teams will be very valuable:
    • specific concepts directly related to VLO facets can be used by recommended components
    • the analysis of the semantic contexts can already help curating the facet mapping
  • so both should continue, and then based on the experience the CCR coordinators should decide the impact on what kind of concepts they want to standardize in the future
• 30 January - 1 February 2018 there is a Metadata curation face-to-face meeting in Vienna
• a doodle will be created for the next CCR meeting in week 6 or 7
• the meeting was recorded, and upon request you can get the URL and code to look it back
