December 2013: First draft of CMDI 1.2 wiki pages

Until January taskforce members can extend and discuss topics and solutions on the pages

Mid January 2014: Virtual meeting, distribution of work

Early February 2014: Refinement of wiki pages and update meeting

• Working towards a final extended version of CMDI 1.2 specification by specialised working groups

• Short (virtual) update meeting in which the working groups can report and we can prepare for the concluding meeting later that month.

Late February 2014: Concluding meeting

Meeting in Utrecht on 2014-2-21. Objective: consensus on specification and work packages.

• Status report by work groups
• Discussion of unsettled topics
• Distribution of actual work

March 2014: Summary document for centre committees

Summary of taskforce conclusions

• Work groups write summaries
• Coordinators merge into an executive summary

Target date for completed proposal document: 7 April 2014

Discussion

Axel Herold? Do we want to officially deprecate CMDI-1.1 at some point and stop tools from producing 1.1? In my opinion we should do that in the long run (e.g. after 2016). If so, we should be clear about this and communicate this to the centres early.
