OS X 10.8.5: Sidebar gets automatically hidden at restart

Description
This issue does only occur on OS X, and is a recent one. When restarting the application (several times, i.e. more than two or three times) the sidebar gets hidden automatically, although the previous preference has been set to _sidebarshow() == true. This problem does not occur on MS Windows. There is no such issue with the original Wired-Marker code.
Some hints:
The file articlenavigation.js contains nsPreferences.copyUnicharPref("wiredmarker.concordance","");
The file overlay.xul creates the menubar structure.
