Slack

CLARIN has its own Slack team at clarineric.slack.com. Any team member can use Slack via the browser or using a desktop or mobile client. Membership can be acquired through invitation (see Joining the Slack).

Administrators

Currently, Dieter and Twan are 'owners' and Willem has the 'administrator' role. For information on the associated permissions, see Roles and Permissions in Slack.

Joining the Slack

Persons with CLARIN affiliation can join on basis of invitation. People with an admin role can invite people. CLARIN is on a paid scheme, which means it pays a fee based on the number of active users. A number of (single channel) guests can be invited, for which CLARIN is not charged. When inviting someone, think about whether they should be a full member or can be a (single channel) guest. More info can be found at Multi Channel and Single Channel Guests.

Invitations can be requested via one of the administrators (see above) by e-mail.

Integrations

A number of integrations have been installed. See clarineric.slack.com/apps, also for configuration (requires administration permissions).

GitHub and Travis integrations are described on the GitHub page.
