Annual conference topics

• ​Resource families useful input for common use cases, recommended components, best practices, resource type vocab
  • ​Issues (VLO absence, metadata quality, licence info, ...)
• ISO/DIS 24622-3 (CMDI standard part 3)
  • We had a brief meeting with Maria Gavrilidou (and Thorsten, Daan and Penny) at the conference. She will present to the SC3 people (?) in November but will keep it quite general. We can have a meeting not too long after that to synchronise. If we don't hear from her before mid-november we should contact her.
• CCR: generic vs specific
  • Still work in progress, will eventually require adaptation/extensions to CMDI spec/impl
  • VLO should probably not be adapted to allow for optimising either precision/recall by adding/remove context constraints. A separate viewer can be imagined that allows for searching on basis of (all) concepts with or without certain contexts.
• Facet definitions/tooltips
  • Also work in progress, should naturally reflect selection of (contextual) concepts included in mapping per facet
• Vocabularies
  • Resource types
    • [] Propose current vocabulary to centre committee (Curation TF - Matej?)
  • Licences
    • Exact modelling of vocabulary requires thought/discussion (use of collections and/or various concept schemes and broader/narrower for licence families and licences)
    • [] Menzo can convert current state of spreadsheet to vocab
    • [] Start discussion with curation task force to get this going
  • Guidelines for vocabulary modelling (e.g. hierarchies, use of collections) are desirable

• Transition to LaTeX/Overleaf complete, first version based on LaTeX ​released
