Notes

GitBook and alternatives

• *Overleaf*: Alex managed to import the current content from GitHub into Overleaf v2. Only master branch, no obvious support for other branches but Alex will look into this (TODO Alex).

• *HackMD*: Features seems good except for support for branches. Synchronisation with Gist, which can also be addressed as a repository. Susanne wil try to import the current documents (TODO Susanne).

• *Readthedocs.io*: Can be used to automatically build anything that is in a git repository, can be combined with HackMD or another editor but does not provide a complete solution.

Recommendations / general info

• This work will be 'detached' into a dedicated WG with Hanna, Twan, Felix (Rau); Alex is also interested. Aiming for separate presence at the Bazaar - submitted abstract (pdf​) was not accepted.

Common use cases

• ​#13 Common use cases will be detached from the document, and content prepared thus far by Susanne moved into a Google Doc. We will work on it in this context to at least prepare a first version. Domain experts can be involved.

Open discussions

• ​#26 Concepts vs Vocabulary items: Menzo will add some bits to relevant best practice(s) on guiding principals regarding concepts (i.e. not accepting concept instances into the registry) and CLAVAS items.
